World Semiconductor Conference: Nanjing is concentrating on building a "Chip City" of China with global influence

At the meeting, Lan Shaomin, mayor of Nanjing Municipal People's Government, said that as an important integrated circuit industrial agglomeration area in China, the scale of Jiangsu's integrated circuit industry has approached one third of the whole country. As an important industrial development town in Jiangsu, Nanjing is making great efforts to build the first, third and globally influential landmark of integrated circuit industry in the whole province. Up to now, Nanjing has owned a number of leading industries such as TSMC, and basically formed a development system covering the whole industry chain. Over the past year, the main business income of the city's integrated circuit industry has increased by more than 50%. As the core area of Nanjing IC industry development, Jiangbei New Area is concentrating on building a "Chip City" with global influence in China.

Luo Qun, Standing Committee of Nanjing Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Secretary of Jiangbei New Area Party and Labor Committee, also said that at present, the state's integrated circuit industry has more than 300 billion national funds in support, and Jiangbei New Area is also focusing on the new financial agglomeration of the integrated circuit industry.

Luo Qun pointed out that at present, the greatest advantage of developing integrated circuit industry in Nanjing Jiangbei New Area is the advantage of talents. Nanjing can train nearly 40,000 IC graduates every year. At present, there are 260 integrated circuit enterprises in Jiangbei New Area, and it is believed that there will be more than 300 enterprises next year. In 2025, integrated circuit related enterprises can break through 1000, and the future output value will break through 300 billion, forming a more complete integrated circuit ecology.
